Safety procedures for small excavators before work

1. Know the construction conditions and tasks to the construction personnel. The contents include: the height and depth of the excavated soil, the height of the slope and wire, the underground cable, various pipes, tunnels, graves and various obstacles. After the excavator enters the site, the driver should follow the relevant safety rules at the construction site.

2. When excavators work in rocky soil or frozen land, they should first blast and then excavate.

3. Inspect, maintain, adjust, and tighten the excavator according to routine routine maintenance items.

4. Check if the fuel, lubricating oil and cooling water are sufficient. If it is insufficient, it should be added. Do not smoke or close to open flames when adding fuel to avoid fire.

5. Check the insulation of the electrical circuit and the contact of each switch.

6. Check all the pipelines of the hydraulic system, operating valves, working cylinders, oil pumps, etc., whether there is leakage, and whether the action is abnormal.

7. Check whether the clamps of the wire rope and the fixed wire rope are firm and reliable.

8. Put the main clutch lever in the “Neutral” position and start the engine. (If it is a hand crank, pay attention to the handle and hurt the person; if the rope is started, do not wrap the rope around the hand). Check whether the instruments, transmission mechanism, working device and brake mechanism are normal, and confirm the correctness before starting work. 9. After the engine is started, it is strictly forbidden to stand in the bucket, on the arm, on the track and on the shed.
